Who We Are

2004

Driven by his passion for power distribution, our founder, Chip Feild, started H.O. Feild Electric Co., Inc. in 2004. Initially, he was only doing small electrical projects, but Chip quickly realized that his customers in the Richmond Metro area needed a solution to the threat of constant power outages. That same year, GENERAC Power Systems approached Chip to become a part of their dealer network. By the end of that year, H.O. Feild Electric become an authorized GENERAC sales and servicing dealer.

2011

In 2011, the Richmond area was hit by Hurricane Irene, which increased the need for our customers to make themselves power-outage ready. This event spurred us to invest in the technology, education, and equipment to best provide our customers with the best level of generator service possible.

2019

We rebranded as Virginia Power Solutions to better position ourselves for those searching for our services. This same year, we added a dedicated sales team, installation department, and service & parts department.

2023

In 2023, Virginia Power Solutions earned GENERAC Power Systems’ most prestigious dealer level award of Premier due to our service technicians receiving the highest level of training for a residential and commercial level dealer. We are proud to be a part of the GENERAC Power Systems’ dealer network and believe we have the #1 generator team in Virginia!
